Do you want to help develop and deliver programmes that have positive social and environmental impact? If so, Pfizer is recruiting a corporate responsibility and sustainability practitioner apprentice. This role will allow you to develop a wide range of skills and to improve your knowledge of external communications, corporate responsibility, Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), diversity and inclusion within the pharmaceutical industry.<\/div>\n

Qualification Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • 5 GCSEs at grades C\/4 or above (or equivalent) including mathematics and English.<\/li>\n
  • You must have gained a minimum of 80 UCAS points from a minimum of 2 A-level subjects or equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Job Description<\/strong><\/h4>\n

      The role of the Global Health & Social Impact (GHSI) team is to develop and implement strategic social impact and environmental sustainability programmes that drive positive impact in the community.<\/p>\n

      This role will also work closely with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) steering group to develop and deliver on our DEI strategy.<\/p>\n

      Through these corporate social responsibility activities, we support Pfizer\u2019s corporate purpose of \u2018Breakthroughs that change patients lives\u2019 and have a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of our internal and external communities.<\/p>\n

      The GHSI team is part of the wider Corporate Affairs function at Pfizer which includes our Policy and Public Affairs team, Media and Communications team and Patient Advocacy team.<\/p>\n

      This role will allow you to develop a wide range of skills and to improve your knowledge of external communications, corporate responsibility, Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), diversity and inclusion and the pharmaceutical industry.<\/p>\n

      Core responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

      With guidance and support from the GHSI team, you will:<\/p>\n

      Help support the development and smooth running of the Pfizer UK corporate responsibility programmes, including project managing our volunteering partnerships; managing our payroll giving and matched funding programme, delivering elements of our health inequalities programme; gathering evidence and insights to inform our strategy.<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Contribution to the development of GHSI communications (internal and external).<\/li>\n
      • Help to manage third party suppliers.<\/li>\n
      • Supporting the team to engage with other Pfizer UK sites and internal stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        With guidance and support from the DEI Steering Group:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners.<\/li>\n
        • Coordinate and manage the process for external awards.<\/li>\n
        • Support the strategic planning and execution of internal and external events and partnership initiatives.<\/li>\n
        • Monitor and report on the progress and outcomes of partnership activities.<\/li>\n
        • Work closely with internal teams on communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Beyond the day-to-day role, you will also have the opportunity to:<\/p>\n

          • Attend global and regional GHSI team meetings<\/li>\n
          • Collaborate with colleagues in the wider corporate affairs team including patient advocacy, external communications and policy & public affairs to gain experience in the cross functional landscape<\/li>\n
          • Attend external events where possible and relevant<\/li>\n
          • Work closely with industry leading external agencies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

              This role will give you a wide range of transferable skills and experiences as well as specific knowledge of and experience in the development and delivery of Corporate Responsibility and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in a large UK business.<\/p>\n

              This experience can lead to a wide variety or careers within corporate affairs, communications, CSR, DEI and HR and beyond.<\/p>\n

              The apprentice must be able to demonstrate the required attitudes, behaviours and interpersonal skills associated with the professional workplace.
