Together with schools, we’ve introduced a program to help year 12 students get ahead.
You can apply for our exciting, diverse courses and secure your place early for the next year’s intake.
Our program allows Australian year 12 students to apply for up to five courses at the end of May. We will then release offers monthly from July through to early December, which will take the pressure off you during year 12.
Rather than an ATAR, your application is based on your school’s recommendation and your year 11 results.
The University of Tasmania’s scholarships and prizes program includes state, national and international sponsored programs. We offer more than 400 scholarships across all areas of study. You can even apply for multiple scholarships in one easy application.
Our Support to Study Scholarship Package helps all students who have the potential to succeed at uni. You don’t need to have a high ATAR or have participated in higher education before.
Based on your need, a package is made up of one or more of the following: financial support, accommodation support and support to succeed.
The Riawunna Centre aspires to positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through educational experiences, supported through shared celebrations, culture and Community.

There are a number of ways able to get the most out of university as a person with disability requirements or health conditions, whether they be temporary or permanent. Below are a few strategies and services available within UTAS:
Disability Advisers for Students within the Student Centre are able to assist staff wanting to know more as to how to best support a student with a disability or health condition.
The Desk is a resource develop by Beyond Blue specifically to provide tertiary students with strategies and skills for success and wellbeing during their time at university or TAFE.

Australian Disability Clearinghouse for Education and Training (ADCET) provides up to date and comprehensive information about inclusive teaching, learning and assessment strategies, accommodations and support services for people with disabilities in post-secondary education and training.
The Ally network promotes an inclusive university culture for people of diverse sexualities, sexes and gender identities.
The Ally nework aims to:
